Faran Observatory is primarily active in Planetary research.
The observatory is located in the clear and dry desert of ISRAEL (in the Negev area) in a region that is about 900 m above sea level, where skies are cloud-free for almost 80% of the nights.
Among the very advanced facilities, operated by Research staff of the observatory, we are mostly proud with the advanced Meteor Study Station and the Solar ensemble of single-wavelength filtered telescopes.
The Research Team, led by Dr. Netzer Moriya, is also highly involved in Signal Processing investigation projects and innovative algorithm developing for statistical image analysis.
